Letter No.: VWL4300
From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.
March 3rd, 1957.
Dear Mr Vignal,
Thank you, and all your co-signatories for your very kind and appreciative letter.1 It always i[n]terests me to hear your reactions to mine, and other composer’s2 music – so and do not hesitate to quote unfavourable criticisms. “Woe be unto you when all men speak well of you.”
Yours sincerely,
R Vaughan Williams
