Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Bernard Herrmann

September 17 [1937]

Dear Mr. Hermann
I am so sorry I did not see more of you on Tuesday and as I do not live in London my opportunities are few. But I have to be in Town next Wednesday (Sep 22) which is my teaching day at the Royal College of Music. However I am free during the luncheon interval and it would give me great pleasure if you could lunch with me at the college at 1 o’clock. You would then also meet some of my musical colleagues which might interest you.
(The College of Music in Prince Consort Road South Kensington)
Yours sincerely
R Vaughan Williams
