Letter No.: VWL3781
13 Cheyne Walk
SW 3
April 9th [1925]
Dear Mr. Randerson
I am very sorry I missed you the other night. I waited to enter it in my engagement book till I heard that you could come & as I did not hear from you I fear the whole thing slipped my memory. The first date I can give you after April 20 is April 28. Could you come then about 8.30? And please send me a postcard on the day to remind me you are coming.
Yours sincerely
R. Vaughan Williams

General Notes:
Dated 1925 as John Ireland asked VW in April 1925 to hear Randerson’s works (info from current owner, gleaned from Randerson’s diary supplied in copy to John Ireland Trust). See VWL3784 which appears to arrange the first (missed) meeting.
