Dear Byard,
This all sounds most promising.  I am so glad that you and Dartington are all set to fall in love with each other.
Will you keep a kind eye on our friend Helen Glatz, who is on the music staff, and has not been very happy under the old regime?  She was a pupil of mine, and is a composer and teacher.  Her life was terribly cut up by the war, when she had a frightful time in Hungary, before she managed to escape with her son.  Her Hungarian husband got out too, but could not find work, and he died a few years ago.  I think she needs kindness and some appreciation to make her blossom.¹
