Thank you very much for your letter1. I think your evidence is conclusive – anyhow for the purposes of my privately printed copies I had to use the Novello version as it stood.
By the way on Sat: Nov 23 at 3.0 p.m. at the White Horse Assembly Room we are running through those portions which we are doing at the Festival. Do come in if you feel inclined.2

1.  Müller Hartmann had written on 28th November about some textual discrepancies between the Bach Gesellschaft edition and the autograph.
2. A rehearsal for the Bach Mass in B minor at the Leith Hill Music Festival.
