Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Ursula Wood
Letter No.: VWL1440
[About 1st October 1940]
My Dear
I loved having your letter & the poem – I have read them through several times. Hence the delay in answering.
The Sestet is fine – I am not too sure about the 8tet
“Quite believed” & “and not obscure” seem a little stiff.
Do write to Rosemary1 about internees in Canada – you have already given me your father’s address – & I am waiting to write to him till the rather slack people I have written to give me the names. Shall I also write to Rosemary.
Take care of yourself my dear & try to keep happy.
Yours
RVW
1. Ursula Wood’s sister, Rosemary Lock.
