The revised score of “Hugh” is now ready.  I am very anxious to get it all fixed up before I go to America in October.  Could you and Waddington & Harold Child and I have a meeting?¹
I believe Saturday is the best day for Waddington – so I suggest September 24 or October 1^stat the R.C.M at 10.am or any later time you like – I am writing parallel letters to Waddington & Harold Child.

1.  In preparation for a revival of Hugh the Drover at the Royal College of Music for its Jubilee in June 1933. Act II Sc 1 was added at this time. Howard Ferguson, writing to Gerald Finzi, expressed an intention of hearing it on 16th June. See Letters of Gerald Finzi and Howard Ferguson (ed. Ferguson and Hurd, 2001) p.84.
