To dear Michael & Eslyn, & all love to you for a happy year.
We’ve read Wife to Mr Milton & have you read Homer’s Daughter also by R.G.??1 R. is deep in the Scrolls & enjoying them hugely. Also we’ve been to War & Peace, & were impressed. (4 hrs long, so not to be undertaken unadvisably or lightly!) & to the Casals concert. Now we are off to stay with Joy Finzi (Ashmansworth Nr Newbury, Berks) till the 11th. I got right through Dr Faustus, but I never liked it. Do you know Jean Christophe?2 it’s lovely
Love from us both
Ursula
