Letter from Ursula Vaughan Williams to Mary Sheppard
Letter No.: VWL4339
From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking
July 13th [1953]
Dear Mary
You will think we are funny friends – but Ralph hasn’t, even now, shaken off his cold, and he has been at the same time, working rather conscientiously in his study, only emerging to sleep & have meals. Then Genia1 has been first, ill, then away, and I have also been away, and very busy in London too, trying to get on with house things, so you must forgive us all. & write and tell us what is happening to you & Victor.
Love from us both
Ursula
1. Genia Hornstein, a mutual friend of the Sheppards and VWs,who lived near the VWs.
