Dearest Martin,
We are so distressed for you & Joan. Is there anything we can do to help or amuse her in hospital or when she is convalescing? What a horrid summer for you both.
Ralph has been tied to one floor these four weeks, but is coming down today. He has been able to work all the time, luckily, & has been a very good patient. He’s well on the way to being bifid again!
Our most fond love to you both,
Ursula.
