Letter No.: VWL3103

From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.

July 17th [1955]

Dearest Alice,

So sorry not have thanked you sooner for the invitations – we would love to come & see you, but Ralph wants to go to all rehearsals, so until we know if they are am or pm it’s impossible to know when we will be free. If it’s a morning rehearsal on Wed. a picnic lunch at the bungalow would be wonderful. May we talk it over on Tues. but if that is too late, it will be our fault & our loss. Anyway, it will be lovely to see you all.1
Love from us both,
Ursula.

1. The picnic did take place, in Cheltenham  at the Festival – see VWL3105.
