Dear Sir
I consider that your daughter Grace has a decided talent for composition which can only be brought to fruition by further study. So I hope very much that she will be able to continue her studies. Personally I should be very sorry to lose her as a pupil as she is most intelligent and hard working.
She is also I understand doing extremely well in the school where she teaches. Dr Buck who examines there spoke to me lately in high praise of her work.¹
I think it is most important while she is still so young that she should have the mental stability of belonging to an institution like the royal college and not become too much immersed in her teaching work, which as you know is likely to narrow the mind
