Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to William McKie

Letter No.: VWL4689

The White Gates,
Dorking, Surrey.

11th February, 1953.

Dear McKie
The full score of the “Old Hundredth” will, I hope, be finished to-day. What would you like me to do with it?
I suppose it will be “controlled” by the O.U.P., yes it will,1 but in this case I do not know who undertakes to copy the parts and, if necessary, the score.
Thank you very much for your kind offer about the Abbey seats.2
Yrs RVW

(R. Vaughan Williams).

Dr. McKie,
33, Greycoat Gardens,
S.W.1.

1. ‘yes it will’ added in manuscript by VW.
2. See VWL4888; VW had asked for seats at the Coronation for UVW and himself.
