The lovely pencils arrived safely – they are just the right softness. Thankyou very much.
Also the lovely glace fruits – and the almonds & raisins which I have not eaten for years.1

1. The Sheppards were in South Africa and regularly sent parcels to the VWs after the war, including soft pencils for VW to use for his music writing.
