I gave a lecture about Gustav at Morley College the other day.  I had nothing particularly new to say, but they seemed to like it.

1. The first performance of Sinfonia Antartica had taken place in Manchester on 14th January, followed by a second performance the next day and the first London performance on 21st January. VW’s lecture on Holst took place on 20th January. See R.V.W.: a biography, p.328-329.
