The Past. Symph1 is practically finished now – cd we possibly have a go at it (with  few friends to listen) one Sat: morning soon.
I’m in London July 2nd – but I expect you will not want that as it is Doclesian day2 – How about July 9th? It wd be v. kind of you & Miss Day3

2. sic. i.e. Dioclesian day – there was to be a performance of Purcell’s Dioclesian by St Paul’s Girls School.
3. Nora Day, a pianist and teacher at St Paul’s Girls’ School with Vally Lasker. The two pianists often played through VW’s works for him before the composition was completed.
