I’m in London July 2^nd – but I expect you will not want that as it is Doclesian day² – How about July 9^th? It wd be v. kind of you & Miss Day³

2. sic. i.e. Dioclesian day – there was to be a performance of Purcell’s Dioclesian by St Paul’s Girls School.
3. Nora Day, a pianist and teacher at St Paul’s Girls’ School with Vally Lasker. The two pianists often played through VW’s works for him before the composition was completed.
