I thought a lot about you when I read the news yesterday & I sh^d like a reassuring postcard.
I like the new poem – Does the “chalk cuts white” mean the long line of chalk you saw from this house[?]

1. UVW describes (R.V.W.: a biography, p.234) a long trench cut along the southern slope of Ranmore visible to the north of The White Gates and the horrifying feeling that the VWs would be on the enemy side of this trench, should it ever be needed as a last defence.
