Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to the Secretary, Society of Authors
Letter No.: VWL3587
From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London N.W.1.
15th October 1957
Dear Sir,
I cannot remember whether I am on the Council of the Authors Society? If so, and as some of the Council’s actions are now matters of controversy1 whose details I have not time to master, I propse2 to resign my membership, so that my name shall not appear as making decisions of which I might not approve.
Yours faithfully
R. Vaughan Williams
