Dear Sir¹
I am obliged for your letter of the 7^th.
I will be at the Café Royal to meet M^r Bax¹ at 12 on Monday next – I notice that you only allow half an hour for Mr. Bax² and myself to look at the testimonials, interview the candidates and discuss our report to the Committee – This seems to me to be quite inadequate.
I have pleasure in accepting the kind invitation of Past Master C.L. Collard to lunch.³
