4th September, 1948

Dear Noble1

Thank you so much for writing and sending the press notice.
I had hoped to see you in England again this year. We had a very pleasant but such a short meeting last time.
I always tell my friends that I have the distinction of being the only person whom Walter Parratt and yourself entirely failed to teach the organ to.
Yours

R. Vaughan Williams
