Dear Atkins
I have been thinking over your kind offer of 15 minutes for Job on Saturday afternoon – But I doubt if I can afford the time & it wd mean kicking my heels all Sunday & Monday – The particular part which was essential to try [is] the part which is supposed to be organ solo – But I think the best way will be to direct the orchestra to play the ‘cued in’ notes & then perhaps we cd go through the organ part on Monday after rehearsal & add it or not as seemed best
Yrs sincerely
R Vaughan Williams
