Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Sir Edwin Herbert
Letter No.: VWL4425
From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.
December 23rd 1956.
Dear Sir Edwin,1
At the suggestion of my accountant I have transferred all my so-called Charities to an R.V.W. Fund, under the aegis of the Musician’s Benevolent Fund. I have therefore cancelled my Banker’s order for the L.H.M.F.2 and instead, an approximately equal sum will be sent to you from the new fund. Owing to difficulties of organisation it cannot arrive by January 1st, but you may count on it all the same!
Yrs sincerely
R Vaughan Williams
