Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Sir Adrian Boult (BBC)

Letter No.: VWL2586

The White Gates,
Dorking.

2nd April, 1948.

Dear Adrian

It seems to me to be a scandal that during the Parry celebrations his finest work, “De Profundis”, should not be done.1
I wrote to Atkins of Worcester about it.  He says it is beyond them.
Obviously it is a job for the B.B.C..  Please insist on its being done, and soon.
Yrs

Sir Adrian Boult,
