[October 1909]

Dear Miss Charrington

I was very glad to get yr letter as showing that you are well again – I was so sorry to hear of your illness.
I shall be very glad to take the orchestra again if we can get a company together – But please put off starting as late [as] possible as I am fearfully busy up to the end of November.  I return your list.  I have marked those who I know are good – I’m afraid I cannot remember anything about the rest!
Wd you like Mr Schwiller1 (who lead2 the orchestra at Dorking) to examine you?  I think I cd arrange for him to come if you approved – or Mr Carter might do so – but I think Mr Schwiller wd be better
Ys sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams
