Dear Roy

I am sending Act 21 by Reg: post. Did I talk about the Euphonium in Act IV – I thought all Tuba players played Euphonium as well automatically but the C. Garden Tuba refused to play it and wd not even play it on his Tuba at rehearsal – so we had to get a Euphonium man to play it in London – But when we go on tour they certainly will not lug a Euphonium & player round with them for the sake of 16 bars – so what? I suggest cueing it in to the Tuba – then he wdhave to play it – it seems to be it is all quite playable on the Tuba – but for safety’s sake I have altered a few of the higher notes as alternatives in the Tuba cues
