My dear Roy,

I have had a letter from Alan Frank asking me whether the symphony¹ is ready to print, or whether I want to wait to hear another performance.  I feel, at present, that I can pass it with those alterations we made in the train, and one addition; namely in the scherzo, the bassoon tune ff, with third bassoon ad lib. and the rest pp.  But you know my mind by this time and do you think it likely that I shall, or do you yourself want other revisions?
