I have been reading right through the 1947 Xmas book. I think it a very fine collection – and particularly ‘The Veil’ ‘The Stream’ ‘Chosen Captives’ ‘Pleasure’ –
Adeline wants me to say how much she likes ‘Dandelions’. Perhaps you have heard that our friend Rayner¹ has been given £100 by the Musicians Benevolent Fund.
