Dear Müller-Hartmann
I am so sorry to trouble you again about ‘Pilgrim’s Progress,’ but you will perhaps remember that there is a stage direction at the end of Act III which was left out by my copyist. The English runs:
“The moon shines brighter and the
Pilgrim’s Way is seen stretched
straight into the distance.”
Unfortunately I cannot find the typescript of Act III in German. Would you be so very kind as to write out the German of that stage direction and send it direct to my copyist:
