Dear Müller Hartmann1
The Oxford Press are at last going to print the “Partita”. Would it be asking you too much to ask you to go through the manuscript score and see if there is anything in your opinion which wants altering before they print it?
I feel you should do this, as the work belongs so much to you, and I should value your suggestions and corrections very much.
Yrs
R Vaughan Williams

1. This may be the last letter to Müller-Hartmann , who died on 15 December 1950. The script of a funeral address by his son Jacob (`Janya’) Hornstein is in UVW’s 1950 file.
