Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Robert Müller-Hartmann

Letter No.: VWL2579

The White Gates,
Dorking,

12th March, 1948

Dear Müller Hartmann

I should be delighted if you and Mrs. Müller-Hartmann could come to rehearsals and performance of my “Partita”.1 The rehearsals are probably Friday March 19th. 10.30 and March 20th 4 o’clock. There is a performance I understand both on the 20th and 21st.
I am sorry the “News Chronicle” worried you, but I think they were fairly harmless as things go. Of course they were incorrect, but then the Press is never correct.
I am asking Mrs. Beckett2 to send you tickets for rehearsals and performance.
Yrs

R. Vaughan Williams
