Letter No.: VWL230
[1898?]
My dear R.A.G.
I am so pleased at your news.1 You ought to steam ahead like anything now. Ivor tells me that your work at present is writing down your chief’s stuff into correct English.
What operas and concerts have there been in Berlin lately – you are lucky to be in the midst of music while we with all our concerts and operas and Queens Halls and things never shall be.2
Yours
R.V.W.
