Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Ralph Wedgwood
Letter No.: VWL176
10, Barton Street,
Westminster.
[Early December 1903]
Dear Randolph
Its not you I congratulate but the people who have had the good sense to choose the best man – (my best man incidentally)1
Every one who knew you knew that you were going to do something great.
It will be bad leaving your northern friends – but you will be nearer friends who live South – they don’t see very much of you but they often think and talk about you.2
It will be splendid coming to see you – Adeline is discussing details – and to see the furnaces and the moors once again.
Yrs
R.V.W.
