Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Ralph Wedgwood
Letter No. VWL243
Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Ralph Wedgwood
Letter No.: VWL243
[Later June 1897]
Dear Randolph
I am quite ashamed for not having written to you long ago.
I can’t tell you what your letter was to me in fact I won’t try to – but only thank you for it over and over again – but I must stick to business or I shall get sentimental and that would be “perfectly horrid”.
When are you going to be in London? Also my people send me a message to say how much they want to be honoured by a visit. Do try & come Friday if poss: then we could be there and you would meet your second cousin-in-law to be, two such people as you ought to meet as soon as possible.1
Yours affectionately and always
Ralph Vaughan Williams
1. Written soon after VW had announced his engagement to Adeline Fisher.
