My dear Randolph

I understand that Amos has returned to his native cobbles  and so I suppose your Paris expedition is off? Why not therefore stay here instead. We two stay here till the 6th of Jan but the rest of the Fisher family stop on till the Lord knows when. Though there might not be room for you in the villa yet we could easily get a room out and in fact you must come.
This is a perfectly magnificent place – air is like the best English summer days, all day long – and one feels tremendously energetic – sea is always warm, calm dark blue and batheable. There is a beautiful Cambridge plain stretching away from the sea – and then sort of common with Cork – stumpy fir and olive trees – also orange trees. About 5 to 10 miles off are the Esterel and other mountains – most attractive shapes. There are magnificent bicycle roads – especially the route national from Paris to Italy – you can hire good bicycles cheap.
Jenkinson1 is here
and Mr Hall2 of 6 mile bottom.
Monte Carlo is near
In fact you must come

R.V.W.

I wish very much you would come here – so do we all.

Adeline
