Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Ralph Wedgwood
Letter No.: VWL347
[10 August 1913]
Dear Randolph
I will meet you at 6.0 p.m. at Waterford on September 3rd – I shd have liked to have seen the Wicklow Mtains where the Neo-Kelts come from – but I dare say Munster (is it?) will be v. good – How about making for the coast of “Connacht” which is also very neo-Kelt.
I like walking v. much – but will bring my bicycle – only I’m afraid my old machine won’t go quick enough for you – only I’m afraid my legs won’t either so its much of a much-ness. Will the mountains require naily boots (I have some!)
And shall I bring my rück-sack?1
Yrs
