Dear Peter
It was very nice to get a letter from you but I wish you had told me more about yourself.
I am writing to Mr Godfrey Brown¹ to say that I hope to come but I don’t altogether like his programme. If I do come it would be delightful if I could manage to see you all at Blessingbourne as well – Adeline thanks you very much for your suggestion about her – but I’m afraid it is out of the question.*³

1. Edward Godfrey Brown was Director of Music at BBC Northern Ireland.
2. Blessingbourne was the home of the Massingberd-Montgomery family, who were cousins of VW.
3. Presumably to accompany VW and stay with the family in Ireland.
