Dear Mrs Vaughan Williams,
Do you think your husband could find out for me whether there is any chance of the Pilgrims Progress being done in June for an Educational Society which would guarantee expenses & hand any surplus over to a charity? Mrs Almeirie FitzRoy secretary of the Belgravian Branch of the Parish National Educational Union is most anxious to have a Performance for the Society’s Summer Meeting, to enable the children of members ( a very large number) to have the privilege & delight of seeing & hearing so beautiful & inspiring a work…
1. Mrs W. Hadley (Joanna Hadley) had made a dramatisation of Pilgrim’s Progress.
