Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Mrs George McCleary

Letter No.: VWL3943

From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.

[1930s?]

My Dear Mrs McCleary
Thankyou both from us both for your delightful card.
I am so glad you enjoyed the concert. Our “Carmen” was rather temperamental & once or twice missed a bar. I told the windplayers it was so nice to feel safe with them – they never missed a bar1
Yrs
