Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Mr Burghes (OUP)
Letter No.: VWL3608
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.
August 14 [1932]
Dear Mr Burghes
I think the only thing to do is to give in to Novellos unless their fee is preposterous in which case I should cut out all their tunes and leave the pages blank with an explanatory note – Personally I should be glad to be rid of all their tunes except No. 48 and Parry’s ‘Repton’.
Yours sincerely
R Vaughan Williams
