[Incomplete]

Dear Michael

In these times we’ve all got to help each other – & ordinary standards don’t apply.
So for the moment please accept this little present for Mary & you with both our loves.
Meanwhile we must try to think what to do for the future
(1) I shall probably have some copying or arranging soon which I shall want done – but that won’t go very far
(2) Certainly apply for an organists job – & I will back you all I can – but I fear there are already more organists than jobs
(3) In these days we must not be squeamish about accepting hospitality from friends. I don’t know if Miss Warner is still in Birmingham
