Dear Mr Calvocoressi
We were both so sorry not to be able to see Mrs Calvocoressi and yourself before leaving Paris. I called on you on Sunday but had not the pleasure of finding you at home – I hope you received the music all right. I cannot thank you enough for all your hospitality and kindness to me and especially in introducing me to Ravel – who has helped me and taught me more than I imagined was possible.
By the way I sent Ravel some money today – the final payment – and as I was in a great hurry I am not sure that I sent the correct sum – could you possibly find out and if it was not let me know
We hope very much to see you in London when you next come there.
Yrs very truly
R. Vaughan Williams
