Dear Maud
I don’t suppose this will reach you – but I take the risk.  I loved having your long & interesting letter.  Do take care of yourself in the wilds1
I’ve got no particular news except that we are now settled into our suburban villa2 – a hard week getting furniture & pictures in place etc. – it is more or less habitable now.  I spent 2 days at Norwich – all seemed to be going well there – the great excitements was Clive Careys3 engagement – I will look out for your Lovero Trio.
I wonder what luck you are having – I do hope all your labour & hardship will have some reward.  Still I know you wd not be happy till you’ve done it
Yrs
