Dorking.
Feb 9 [1945?]
Dear Martin,
At last have been able to play (?) right through the “Redeemer”. It is a noble work and ought to be done every year where.
I am furious because the BBC are doing it on the same day and hour as my performance of the Matthew Passion at Dorking Church.
My love to Joan. I do hope she is better. What lovely words she has found for you.
Yours
R.V.W.
But Adeline is going to listen.
