1. Birmingham newspapers reported on 14 June 1957 that Canon George Briggs (who had retired as Vice-Dean of Worcester Cathedral in September 1956) has compiled a new hymn-book, to be used experimentally in the Cathedral for a year from Autumn 1957. It seems not to have a name and may never have been published.

2. Virginia Tatton-Sykes (nee Gilliat), known as Lady Sykes. The connection has not been established.
