Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Margery Cullen

Letter No.: VWL3257

From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.

January 19th 1956.

Dearest Margery,
I am sending Clinton his copy myself, with my special marks.1 Perhaps you could deal with the others?  I suppose a funny-man is all right on Sunday afternoon?  But perhaps a conjuror would be better??  Please let the Committee settle.  I will be content with anything.
Love,
Ralph

Please no music – perhaps a funny man??

1. Gordon Clinton, baritone, later Principal of the Birmingham School of Music.
2. The letter apparently concerns arrangements for a party in connection with the Leith Hill Musical Festival.
