Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Leslie Arthur Boosey

Letter No.: VWL5267

From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,

Dorking.

Aug 15[?] [1938]

Dear Mr Boosey
I believe Arthur Bliss has already written to you about John BUCKLAND – He is a most interesting young man – devoted to music & knows a good deal about it (Perhaps I ought to warn you that he may express an admiration for my music – but this is all I know against him). It seems a pity that he should not be able to use his talents, for his own living and other people’s benefit, on music. Do you think there is any chance for him in any of the activities in which you are interested?

Yours sincerely
R Vaughan Williams
