Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Joy Finzi
Letter No.: VWL2049
The White Gates,
Dorking, SURREY.
12th July, 1950.
Dear Joyce
I should love to have taken you on the way, but it is a long journey even at its shortest, and if I do not leave Gloucester until 6.30 or so I shall not get back much before 11 at the earliest, so I am afraid we must give up the idea; but we shall meet at Gloucester.1
Thank Gerald for his letter2
Love from
Uncle Ralph
