Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Joseph Weston Poole
Letter No.: VWL5207
From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.
June 22 [1943]
Dear Mr Poole
Many thanks for returning the music.1 I fear there is little chance of getting it published till after the war.
I think the Motet of mine you refer to must be the 3rd of “Three Choral Hymns” published by Curwens.
Yours sincerely
R Vaughan Williams
1. VW’s arrangement of his O vos omnes with English text; see VWL5206.
2. Poole had asked VW about the motet “Come Holy Spirit, blessed Lord”, which he had been unable to trace.
