Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to John Tressider Sheppard, Provost of King’s College Cambridge
Letter No.: VWL3058
From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.
November 25 [1949]
Dear Provost
Thank you very much for your letter – I feel that the matter is now in more capable hands than mine – but if you think that a letter from me to the Authorities would be helpful I need hardly say how pleased I shall be to write it.1
If you produce another Greek Comedy please give me a chance of doing the music – but it will not be in the least like the Wasps!
Yours sincerely
R. Vaughan Williams
1. VW had written to suggest that R.C. Trevelyan be given an honorary degree by Cambridge University. See VWL3079.
