Letter No.: VWL3261

From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.

January 29th 1956

Dear Mr Howgill

We are very anxious to see Arthur Benjamin’s opera on Wednesday, and as we have not got a television set I wonder if you would be so kind as to allow my wife and me to see it at Broadcasting House. We should be so grateful if this is possible.1
Yours sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams

1. The opera was A Tale of Two Cities. Note on letter: ‘D.S.B.’s TV set at Dr Vaughan Williams’ disposal’.
